Checklist before you send a buyer anything

Before any data leaves your hands: [ ] Look up the buyer's company yourself and call its main number [ ] Be wary of personal Gmail addresses claiming to be big companies [ ] Get an NDA signed [ ] Send only a small sample, with names and contact details removed [ ] Agree on price and terms in a written license: what they can use it for, whether they can resell it, when you get paid [ ] Use a licensed escrow company, typing its web address yourself. Never use an escrow link someone sends you [ ] Remove customer names, emails, phone numbers, addresses and account numbers from the full delivery [ ] Keep a copy of everything you send Never pay a "fee" to a buyer. Real buyers pay you.
